A good Player Destroys their opponent quickly, and makes decisions without delay. Lately I have been thinking alot about gaming, thinking about my previous, present and upcoming gaming experiences. Thinking about this I found out I actually never took my gaming very serious (which isn't a bad thing, but is just another mindset) I always gamed casual, even in the game which I played longest and most intensive, WoW I actually never took it seriously enough. Yhea sometimes i logged 40 hours in a week or so but /played 1000 hours does not makes me a good player, neither will it make anyone a good player.
Ofcourse its true, through doing things you learn things, but you learn best when you make mistakes. In my previous games I made alot of mistakes, but I rarely learned from them this was because I always made the mistake that I blamed someone else: NO NO NO! If you lose its MY fault and i can not blame anyone else! They are too skilled ? well get too that level and even beyond it. Dont like the map ? Learn to like it. Teammate made a mistake ? Learn how to coach him to not make that mistake again, you did not tell him to not do a certain thing or do a certain thing. He used an "OP" ability ? Figure the counter move to that ability. So my new mindset for Guildwars 2 is to learn from my mistakes and not blame anyone else anymore then myself. Learn from my mistakes by reviewing myself this can be done through various ways. Talk over your mistakes, review your played matches etc. If you want to learn from your mistakes also, and are willing to take your gaming experiences serious you should definitally check these websites out: http://teamlegacy.net/topic/3641-the-psychology-of-winning-fail-better/ http://teamlegacy.net/topic/3715-coaching-yourself-in-competitive-play/ If you have anything else to add, please do :) |

Nice to see you are seeing your mistakes, mate we are all here to learn and learn from each other, Im seeing a strong bond between the current active memebrs of the forums and I feel like we really have something to build on before we have even got started, to be honest, this has gone much better than expected, I dont know if Im saing that because Im srunk or because im just speaking my mind but either way its a good thing <3 As for you Asurian, you will learn as will I, as noody is perfect and the fact that you have put effort into being part of this guild has more than satisfied me, so thank you :) |

Thanks for the reactions and feedback guys. I really tend to put alot of effort in research in this game, because you may have noticed :p, I really do like this game alot allready. I must say though, while i looked forward to more games and did alot research etc on other games before they launched, I've never felt more connected to a community and Guild ever before. I am really looking forward to be playing with you all and while the game may be a little less fun then I am hoping it to be ( Dont wanna raise the bar so high, that the game can only get worse, which is a possible danger if you look too much forward to it and become a major fanboy) I do think though you people will not dissappoint me :) Go Stompers :) |
